There was no time for the Seahawks to cry in their corn flakes this morning.

“The game is on Thursday,” said Seahawks head coach Mike McDonald, whose team lost 29-20to the Giants on Sunday to fall to 3-2. “We’ve got to rock and roll.”

It’s on to the 2-3 49ers, who will visit Lumen Field for Thursday Night Football, 5:15 p.m. (Prime Video, 710 AM). San Francisco blew a 23-10 halftime lead and lost the the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

That gives the two teams about three days to recover physically and mentally from Sunday’s losses, get the game plan, practice and prepare for a division rival. Macdonald said that most of the practices during a short week are walk-throughs, but they plan to get in one practice with full speed reps.

“The tape dictates that we tighten some things up,” Macdonald said. “Now we have an extreme short week.”

The injury news seemed mixed. Macdonald said linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, who returned Sunday after missing the first four games with a knee injury, will likely miss Thursday’s game “and we’ll see in the next few days if it’s going to be longer than that.”

Defensive Tackle Byron Murphy II (hamstring) is also likely to miss the 49ers game. Riq Woollen and Derick Hall, who both missed some plays Sunday, are likely to be active Thursday. Linebacker Boye Mafe, who missed Sunday’s game, will be a game-time decision.
